'The Gown' is the independent student newspaper at Queen's University. The paper, founded in 1955, is run voluntarily by students and funded entirely by advertising without University or Students' Union assistance.
From terrorism to teletubbies, prostitution parties to political protests, 'The Gown' has reported it all, providing a colourful account of life within the University and within Northern Ireland.

New Issue Out Now!
The Gown has re-entered cyberspace. We're sorry for the shortage of posts lately - we've been working on the first issue of the New Year which is out now.
I hear the SU paid for Gown journalists to go to London for a media conference? If they're short on cash then maybe that money would have been better spent keeping their nice magazine in print.
Is it true that Thomas 'lil Mussolini' Hogg is going to face a leadership challenge from Ian 'Ariel Sharon' Gow who is unhappy with the direction of the DUA
apparently now that eddie has got wind of a cue he is trying to get back into the dua after he realised wat a mistake he made in joining the uup and playing with basils brush
does anybody else find the headline on the current issue of the gown very inappropriate, its a sad day we are living in when such headlines have to be used to try and win peoples attetnion !!
Agreed BCB. I don't even think the tabloid filth pressed in England would print something so offensive on their pages (and they have little worth more than toliet paper!).
Nice use of language
ReplyDeleteSlagging off the SU Mag?

ReplyDeleteSee Eddie Hanna has jumped ship to the UUP from DUP/DUA
ReplyDeletehttp://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/northern_ireland/7235783.stm
what about ed hanna leaving the DUP - did anyone see the coverage in the irish news?
ReplyDeletehe left because they are apparently 'arrogant'.
does anyone remember in ed hanna's report to council regarding his activities as SCA officer last year he said he attended Let's Talk.
That was the same let's talk where he roared at Lord Trimble for being a sell out!
i wud love to call hanna a sell out, but then he never had any principles to sell out on!
why doesnt the gown cover proper stories as the lastest scandel within the student union
ReplyDeleteor are they not independent anymore?
Another edition same arse licking around Sarah Mc Caffrey.
ReplyDeleteWhat happened to the "independent newspaper" stuff??

You were not elected to dictate the more standards of the student body.
Get a life...
This blog is a disgrace and an embarrassment.
ReplyDeletei would rather be accused of being Eddie Hanna than Cairnan Helerty.
ReplyDeleteIs it true that Thomas 'lil Mussolini' Hogg is going to face a leadership challenge from Ian 'Ariel Sharon' Gow who is unhappy with the direction of the DUA
ReplyDeleteTrouble at Mill may I ask you when this challenge is going to happen seeing as the two of them are as thick as thieves!!!
ReplyDeleteapparently now that eddie has got wind of a cue he is trying to get back into the dua after he realised wat a mistake he made in joining the uup and playing with basils brush
