Rag Mag, PTQ, for sale
PTQ, the annual RAG magazine, was released for sale to the public yesterday. The original release date was set for last Monday to coincide with the beginning of RAG week, however this date was pushed back due to "printing difficulties".
At £2 per issue, all the proceeds will go to the chosen RAG charities this year (The Rape Crisis Centre, Aware Defeat Depression, Northern Ireland Children's Hospice and the Public Initiative for the Prevention of Suicide and Self-Harm) . This charitable society within the Union has encountered difficulties since September with appointed Organiser, Robbie Davis, having gone AWOL at the beginning of the year.
RAG has become less visible within the student community at Queen's in recent years for various reasons, namely lack of student interest, as cited in The Gown's last issue. It seems the antics of former RAG committees are no more and the £30,000 cheque presentations are a thing of the past.
Make sure to grab a copy of PTQ - it's for charity folks!

The Gown: Forever negative about EVERYTHING! Can you all lighten up a bit!!
looks crap
anonymous number 2.....Shane Brogan?
yep.
Who is Robbie Davis?
He was voted PTQ Editor through the RAG Committee of the council... he just never bothered his arse to do anything about it! Mccaffrey is again the editor!
Why hasn't he been made to apologise?
If he didn't want to continue as editor he should have apologised instead of wasting peoples time!
The RAG Committee are disgusted!
anonymous number 4..... Miss Marple?
anonymous number 7...... The Pope?
anonymous no.8.... a big crapface?
anonymous no.9..... Gerry Kelly?
anonymous number 9...
anonymous number 10?
Britney spears!
Slightly dissapointed with the photoshoot with Mr and Mrs PTQ...It's 2008, it should have been either more original or more risque. It kind of looks very early 1990s...and not in a good way.
I'm sorry you feel that way about Mr and Mrs PTQ.
Next year shall definitely be better, well, hopefully.
Confusion with editor mucked things around a bit. And various other forms of disorganisation. Any other feedback would be good.
take a leaf out of The Gown and their Mr Gown feature....two words = success....
SCANTILY
CLAD
that is all.
call me an idiot but do you not think it'd be helpful if the SU could actually tell people WHERE they can get a copy of PTQ?? is it that hard to give a clue? seems common sense to me!
you idiot.
you said "call me an idiot".
so I did.
either in the su shop or ask the rag for one i guess. common sense?
yeah....duh. Walk into the Union and then stroll into the shop. At this point turn your body to the left and you will see shelves with things on them called magazines and newspapers. It is here, with minimal effort, you will find a much coveted copy of PTQ.
But, yeah, the photoshoot needs SORTED!
Another Sarah Mc Caffrey failure....
This is an absolute disgrace to the RAG and PTQ name. As an ex editor and administrator of both RAG and PTQ I find this issue a complete failure and totally lacking in the spirit of QUBRAG's founding.
It's unfunny, dull, boring, stupid girlish jokes and aimed at those with no sense of humour. While many think the past issues of PTQ as out of date and that there is no place for the type of jokes it used to publish they are just plain wrong. People love to be insulted and horrified, thats what made people buy the mag...the controversy.
This magazine has no right to bear the PTQ name or be affiliated with QUBRAG. fail
Brian - I wholeheartedly agree!
Bryan with a Y...just like Bryan Adams.
I wanted to see all the dirt and scum of the day in the mag and like everyone else I was so dissapointed. but thats Sarah McCaffrey all over, trying to please everyone and offend no one. We don't need people like her on the student executive. In my opinion the Gown didn't highlight enough how crap she was.
I hope they tear the next exec to shreads!
Awh Sarah isn't that bad.
And yes The Gown DID tear her to shreds.
Did you not SEE the profiles at the start of the year?
poor sarah.
p.10 PTQ reads;
'The pawn shop Cash Converters was arrested yesterday in connection with the robbery of Lunn's the jewllers...'
Any coincidence?
