Students' back, Forde, Caughey and McGourty.
Michael Forde, Colin Caughey and Kevin McGourty have been elected to the Students' Union Executive. They join Ben Preston and Peter Quinn who were elected a week ago. Mr Gaskin's defeat has already been interpreted as a further snub to Ben Preston who secured a narrow victory a week ago. Mr Caughey takes over the Welfare post from Andrea O'Kane who did not run again for the post. Mr McGourty has been re-elected as Vice President Clubs and Services.

Then I would question your powers of perception!
It had nothing to do with it.
What are the reasons in your opinion Chris?

This is a reference to a comment on a previous post. Commiseration's Chris.
Congratulations to Graham and Rodney, they fought a good campaign and maintained their integrity throughout.
Shame Rod the Prod didn't win, i liked his crazy facial hair! Good to see him and Graham run a fair campaign, their posters were excellent.
well done to all the candiates who made the elections a big success. Looking at the results I feel the students have had the chance to speak, and students who have hidden political agendas are no longer electable at QUBSU.
Can I also say good by and good riddens to C gaskin. Maybe now the union can move on as him and his team of republicans have dogged our union for to long.

Who said I was going anywhere?
He hasn't gone away you know, though I understand his trusty sidekick is in line for a job working for the colonial government.
Is the mix on the Executive next year a bad thing?
Individuals with their own, personal agendas.
And what on earth is Ben Preston going to do for the Union...? Restructuring? What else?
